James A. Landaker, CPA

In 1977, Jim founded what is now Landaker & Associates, Inc. and has grown the firm to its current size and scope of services.  Prior to opening his own public accounting practice, Jim was employed by the State of Ohio Treasurer's Office, Dean & Barry Paint Company, Executive Jet Aviation and a small private accounting firm. 

Jim serves as a member and former chairman of The Accountancy Board of Ohio, a gubernatorial appointment that began in 2004, where he oversees licensing and conduct of the professionals.  He is also a Trustee of the George Edward Durell Foundation where he serves as Secretary.  He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio - New England Lodge 4/Worthington, and several other professional and fraternal organizations.

Jim is a graduate of Franklin University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.  He is a past lead instructor of The Becker CPA Review Course in Central Ohio.  He was voted as one of the top instructors in the United States for four consecutive years.

Michelle Landaker Carrier, CPA, MBA

Michelle is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a double major in Transportation Logistics and Marketing and a minor in Accounting.  She also obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Franklin University.  She passed the Certified Public Accountants' examination in 2002.

Prior to joining the firm in 1998, Michelle began her professional career with The Kroger Company where she held several management positions in the Columbus Distribution Center.

In addition to her public accounting duties at Landaker & Associates, Michelle is also responsible for all operational functions of the firm.

Michelle is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Michelle is a mother of two and volunteers regularly at her children's schools.

Kristi R. Blausey, CPA, MBA 

Kristi is a 2002 graduate of DeVry University where she received a Bachelor of Accounting degree with a concentration in Information Systems.  She also obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Kristi passed the CPA examination in 2004 and is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Kristi is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Prior to joining Landaker & Associates in 2006, Kristi held various roles in the accounting field, including Corporate Controller and Manager of Accounting and Finance for a network of urgent care centers, Staff Accountant and Analyst for entrepreneurial clientele and Staff Accountant for a local CPA firm.

Kari L. Rucker, CPA

Kari is a 2005 graduate of Franklin University where she received a Bachelor of Finance degree with a concentration in Accounting.  She passed the CPA examination in 2011 and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Kari held various roles as staff/tax accountant for Worthington Industries, Inc. with a focus on multi-state taxation.  Kari also formerly served as the executive assistant to Doug MacLean, former President and General Manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

As a mother of three, Kari continues to balance her career with motherhood.

Connie S. Mercer

Connie has been a part of our professional support staff for over 16 years.  With entrepreneurial interests, she left the firm for several years to own and operate the Buckeye Corner stores.  In the years that she was at the Buckeye Corner, the business grew from one store to opening a second and moving and expanding the original store.   Since returning to the firm, Connie continues to grow and expand the services she provides to clients.

Elizabeth M. Farrell

Liz began her career with the firm in 1996 and is a member of our professional support staff.  Prior to joining Landaker & Associates, she worked for 24 years for the Equitable Life Insurance Company in New York.  Liz supports the work of our public accountants and performs data entry functions for clients.
