James Adam Landaker, CPA

Professional Biography

Jim is a Graduate of Franklin University (1972) where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree with a major in Accounting.

Prior to entering the public accounting sector he was employed by the State of Ohio Treasurer’s office (three years), Dean & Barry Paint Company (three years) and Executive Jet Aviation (one year).

He began his public accounting career in 1969 (while still attending Franklin University) with the firm of Clark E. Loofbourrow & Co., CPA’s.

Jim passed the Certified Public Accountants’ examination in May of 1974.

In December 1977 he started his own Public Accounting practice.

His firm specializes in the preparation of federal, state, county and local tax returns for individuals, businesses (sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations), estates and trusts. They also prepare federal and state inheritance tax returns for their clients. The firm works with its clients in all aspects of tax planning. The firm represents its clients before all taxing authorities to assist those clients in arriving at a resolution of any tax disputes.

Additionally the firm specializes in assisting its business clients in the setting up their accounting systems in order for the client to achieve the most efficient and effective method of operating their business. The firm also prepares financial statements for these business clients.

Jim is a past lead Instructor of The Becker CPA Review Course in Central Ohio. (He was voted one of

the top Instructors in the United States for four consecutive years.)

Michelle Landaker Carrier, CPA, MBA

Professional Biography

Michelle is a graduate of The Ohio State University (1991) where she received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a double major in Transportation Logistics and Marketing, and a minor in Accounting. 

Michelle began her professional career with The Kroger Company in 1991 after graduating from OSU. During the period of her employment with The Kroger Company she held several management positions in the Columbus Distribution Center.

Michelle joined the firm in 1998.  She began attending Franklin University part-time in order to complete the additional     accounting courses required to set for the Certified Public Accountants’ examination.

Michelle passed the Certified Public Accountants’ examination in November 2002.

Michelle completed her Masters Degree in Business Administration at Franklin University in 2004.

Michelle prepares federal, state, and local tax and returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and non-profit organizations.  She assists her clients with their yearly tax planning. She prepares compilation and review reports for the firm’s business and non-profit organization clients. In addition she has the responsibility of all administration functions of the firm.

Michelle is currently the president of the firm.
